- Basics of Space Flight Learners' Workbook.
This is a self-study training module developed by the Space Flight Operations Section Training Working Group at JPL to give JPL operations people who are new to the space flight operations environment an understanding of the basics of space flight.
The module contains several sections of interest to GPS users including coordinate systems, time systems, orbital mechanics, radio communications, and spacecraft navigation. The module relies on textual descriptions with a minimal use of equations.
