PRN30 was launched from Pad 17A at Cape Canaveral Air Station on 12 September 1996 at 08:49 UTC.

SUBJ: PRN30 LAUNCHED JDAY 256/0848 ZULU.
1. CONDITION: GPS SATELLITE PRN30 (SVN30) WAS LAUNCHED ON JDAY 256
(12 SEP 96) AT 0848 ZULU. PRN30 WILL RESIDE IN THE B2 SLOT. PRN20 (SVN20)
WAS PREVIOUSLY LOCATED IN THE B2 SLOT, BUT HAS NOW BEEN MOVED TO
THE B5 SLOT. A FOLLOW UP NANU WILL BE SENT ONCE THE NAVIGATION
PAYLOAD ON PRN30 IS USABLE.
